Marie Jonsson-Harrison was born in Sweden, her grandparents were famous circus artists and her father is Adelaide based sculptor, Ted Jönsson. Marie emigrated to Australia with her family in 1972, and embarked on a highly successful career ‘diversion’ as an international model. Picking up on peripatetic life of her forebears she was to enjoy success as Miss Summer Spain 1981, South Australia Model of the Year 1982 and National Model of the Year 1984. However her rich artistic heritage soon exerted its primacy and she began painting while pregnant with her son.
When we had a look at creations of Marie, we felt that we are smiling. She is painting a life of joy. She is using too much colours in her works, mixing them in a unique method to give you a sort of happy tale while sailing with your eyes over her creations. Her optimistic character is completely reflected through her art.
Marie had many exhibitions & deserved many awards. Today Marie lives and works in a rural environment on a wheat and sheep grazing farm north of Adelaide. In this ideal environment she enjoys a wonderful family life with her husband, son and daughter – highly conductive to her growth and development. Marie, this is what we expect from you; more art creations giving this world more joy.

Body painting is always an interesting field of art. Australian artist Eva Rinaldi is a hero in this field. Eva Rinaldi is an artist and image maker who has emerged as a premier body artist. Eva has a keen interest in Art and different mediums painting Human canvases.
We recognized Eva Rinaldi for the first time after discovering her piece of art ” Help Poverty”. We tried to know who is the creative person behind this work till finding her. “The painting “HELP POVERTY” shows an Aboriginal boy body painted white to portray the light. Across his body and on a white board painted in black is written “HELP POVERTY” which represents poor health, housing and poverty – A statement possibly unable to be made any other way” Eva wrote. We felt that Eva is a person who uses her art to clarify some issues & causes she believes in. She is working hard to solve problems of children through her paintings. She is trying to attract attention, by tool of beauty, to gather people against many problems & disasters in the society.
Eva says:” It takes hours to create a human canvas then within minutes it can be all washed away-where a painting on canvas can live for a long time”. This means that she is such a faithful artist to her art & her believes. Her simple & stylish sense of the human body is reflected into the eyes of fans. Eva Rinaldi is another dreamer in world of art.

We can not believe that Lucian Husac starts photography just three years ago! We believe that passion of photos is born with him. Lucian was born in 1981 in Constanta, Romania. He lives now in Timisoara. His profession is maritime officer. He tells us about the start of his passion ” I have started capturing images about 3 years or so ago, when I first borrowed a camera to shoot some images. Those images were meant to be a present for my girlfriend but I have discovered back then they were a present for me, too”.
Photos of Lucian Husac have a special magic. His artistic sense is very high. You feel that he paints by his camera special moments & places giving you more than what is apparent. His photos are not static. You can feel that there is a story to be told. You can see the dynamic motion inside his fabulous photographs.
Lucian decided, two years ago, to make his photos free to enable every person to share him his experiences & travels. We see that this manner is that of a real artist who believes in his art as a method making this world a better place. Lucian Husac, thanks for your gems.

Martha Ramirez is a sensitive & dreaming artist who wants to make this world a better place through her creations. She tries to activate people, after enjoying her art works, to create movement in their life situations. She has a philosophy in her paintings; ” After the inspirations of painting greats such as Kandinsky and Mondrian, I love to paint geometric abstracts that are meant to inspire a person to search within the puzzle pieces to find something more that first strikes them since life is always a mystery until you step back and re-examine it.” She wrote.
Martha Ramirez did not tell us too much about herself. But we can describe her well through her fabulous creations. We can say that she is an energetic person, optimistic & believe in art as a tool to clean burdens over people minds. She has a unique friendship with colours attracting us to live inside her art works & thinking in them. She uses colours in a figurative way to describe interiors helping to inspire others to take an action in art or in life generally. You can feel that each colour is representing a point of view. You have to read them by mind after watching by eyes.
Martha is telling us; “I paint what I call my meridians that are figurative abstracts similar to stain glassed windows. Always female and always with the eyes closed to represent me, the artist, in dream mode, dreaming of a world better than it is, trying to find solutions to make that happen, highly spiritual and enlightening when painted”. We are going to dream with you of a better world but sure we are going to enjoy your wonderful creations.

It is a story about a unique hero in photography world. He is Cole Thompson who “was born in black & white images”. He wrote:” Television and movies were in Black and White. The evening news was in Black and White. The nation was segregated into Black and White. My childhood heroes were in Black and White and that image was an extension of the world, as I knew it”. After reading the biography of George Eastman, he was inspired to start his hobby & his future career.
It is a real magical world that of Cole Thompson. His images are pieces of art. His creative ideas give the photos deeper meanings beyond what is appearing. He works exclusively in black & whie. He explains his philosophy in this by “ For me color records the image, but black & white captures the feelings that lie beneath the surface”. You are right Cole. We felt this from depth of our hearts. We enjoyed the journey inside each of his photos. We are impressed by his creative ideas like ceiling lamps for example. His photos touched our hearts & minds by their creativity & unique meanings.
Cole’s recent work includes “The Ghosts of Auschwitz and Birkenau,” “Ukrainians With Eyes Shut, “Ceiling Lamps” and “The Lone Man”. He has been in over 100 juried exhibitions, was named “Photographer of the Year” by the Black and White Spider Awards, and has had his work featured in publications such as LensWork, B&W, American Photo, Black and White and PhotoLife.
Cole Thompson, you are “Photographer of every year”.
